The most dangerous thing about chains is not their weight. It is the belief that they are permanent.
A person who believes they cannot be free will not pursue freedom even when the door is standing open.
This is exactly what the enemy builds: not only the chain, but the conviction that the chain is unbreakable.
The addiction that has been going on too long. The thought pattern that has been running since childhood. The generational curses that everyone accepts as simply how the family is. The bondage that has become so familiar it has taken on the shape of identity.
But the Bible declares something that cuts through all of it: the chains are already broken.
Not in the sense that the struggle is over, but in the sense that the legal and spiritual authority behind the bondage was destroyed at the cross.
What the enemy is using to hold people now is not a legitimate chain. It is a lie about the permanence of what Christ already addressed.
Paul and Silas were in a real prison with real chains.

Not partially free. Not conditionally free. Free indeed.

The freedom was the purpose of the setting free.
Not freedom as a means to another end. Freedom itself is the goal.
