Worry is the mind’s attempt to solve a problem that has not arrived yet.
Most anxious people are not dealing with a present crisis.
They are rehearsing a future one, running scenarios in their heads about what could go wrong next month, next year, or in some vague later that never quite materializes the way they imagined it.
Jesus addressed this directly in Matthew 6:34. Do not worry about tomorrow, he said, for tomorrow will worry about itself.
Each day has enough trouble of its own.
The instruction sounds almost dismissive until you realize who is giving it.
The person saying do not worry about tomorrow is the same person who knows what tomorrow contains.

You Were Never Supposed to Carry Tomorrow. You Were Supposed to Hand It Over.
Anxiety about the future operates on a specific assumption: that you are the one responsible for making it turn out right.
Scripture challenges that assumption at its root. Psalm 31:15 says My times are in your hands. Not my hands. Yours. Proverbs 19:21 says Many plans exist in the human heart, but God’s purpose is the one that stands.
The person who trusts God with the future is not passive. Abraham still packed. Moses still confronted Pharaoh. Paul still boarded ships. Trusting God did not eliminate action. It eliminated the belief that the action’s success depended entirely on the person taking it.
Jeremiah 29:11 has been printed on more bookmarks and coffee mugs than almost any other verse, but the original audience heard it while sitting in Babylonian exile.
The future God was promising looked nothing like the future they wanted. They wanted to go home immediately. God told them to settle in, plant gardens, and wait seventy years.
