Most mornings arrive with yesterday’s weight and today’s demands.

What fills it sets the tone.

Peace That Guards the Mind

Verse 1: Philippians 4:6-7

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Take it in: Before opening your agenda, name one anxious thing and bring it to God by name.

Verse 2: Isaiah 26:3

“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.”

Take it in: Name what your mind is running toward, then redirect it to one truth about God.

Verse 3: John 14:27

God is not a last resort.

Take it in: Say this before today’s first difficulty as fact, not a wish.

Verse 8: Joshua 1:9

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

God is going with you. That is the ground it stands on.

New Mercy Every Morning

Verse 9: Lamentations 3:22-23

“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”

Written from devastation. Mercy arrives because of who He is.

Take it in: Before carrying anything from yesterday forward, receive this: God’s compassions are new today.

Joy and strength are not separate. The Lord’s joy is fuel.
