Pastor Eve Mercie

Pastor Eve Mercie is a minister and biblical counselor with over 15 years of experience in local church ministry. She holds a Master of Divinity from Liberty University, which laid the foundation of her theological training and shaped her ability to teach Scripture with clarity and depth. She has served in both Associate Pastor and Lead Pastor roles across congregations in the United States. Her studies in counseling psychology gave her the tools to sit with people in real pain, and over the years she has walked alongside hundreds of individuals working through anxiety, depression, grief, identity struggles, and seasons of spiritual doubt. With a background in philosophy, she has strengthened her ability to engage hard questions about faith with honesty and without easy answers. Training in leadership and organizational management has also helped her build and sustain healthy ministry environments where people genuinely grow. Her studies in history and sociology have given her a broad understanding of the world her congregation actually lives in, making her teaching grounded and relevant. Through her ministry blog, Pastor Eve addresses the questions believers carry into their daily lives, including the ones rarely spoken aloud in church. Her writing is practical, and rooted in Scripture, shaped by everything she has studied and everyone she has served. She is committed to helping Christians build a faith that is theologically solid, emotionally healthy, and strong enough for real life.

27 Bible Verses About Being a Light to Others

August 19, 2026 by Pastor Eve Mercie

A lamp does not decide whether to shine. It shines because that is what lamps do when they are lit. Matthew 5:14 says you are the light of the world. Jesus did not say you should try to become the light. He said you already are it. The identity precedes the behavior. The implications run … Read more

27 Bible Verses About Breaking Bad Habits

August 19, 2026 by Pastor Eve Mercie

Knowing the right thing has never been the hard part. Romans 7:19 is Paul admitting as much. I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do; this I keep on doing. He wrote that as an apostle. Not as a new convert. Not as someone … Read more

27 Bible Verses About God Promoting You

August 19, 2026 by Pastor Eve Mercie

Psalm 75:6–7 settles the question of where promotion originates with two verses most career-minded Christians have never read. Promotion comes neither from the east nor from the west nor from the south. But God is the judge: he puts down one, and sets up another. The verse eliminates every direction on the compass except up. … Read more

27 Bible Verses for Staying Motivated at Work

August 19, 2026 by Pastor Eve Mercie

Monday morning arrives, and the alarm goes off, and you lie there running the math on how many more Mondays stand between you and retirement. Somewhere around year seven or eight of a career, the initial energy burns off, and what remains is either a deeper reason to keep showing up or the slow erosion … Read more

27 Bible Verses About God Making All Things New

August 19, 2026 by Pastor Eve Mercie

Revelation 21:5 records a statement from the throne of God that covers more ground than most people give it credit for. Behold, I am making all things new. Not some things. All things. The scope of that promise reaches backward and forward simultaneously. It addresses the individual believer whose life feels beyond repair. It addresses … Read more

27 Bible Verses for Finding Strength After Heartbreak

August 19, 2026 by Pastor Eve Mercie

Heartbreak does something to the body that grief counselors and neurologists both recognize. It affects sleep. It changes appetite. It alters the brain’s processing speed. The ancient writers of Scripture understood this before the clinical language existed. Psalm 38:8 says I am feeble and utterly crushed; I groan in anguish of heart. David was not … Read more

27 Bible Verses for Starting Over With God

August 18, 2026 by Pastor Eve Mercie

The prodigal son rehearsed his apology on the road home. He had a speech prepared. He planned to ask his father for a position among the hired servants, which tells you he expected a demotion. What he got instead was a robe, a ring, sandals, and a feast that started before he finished his second … Read more

27 Bible Verses About Letting Go of Pain

August 18, 2026 by Pastor Eve Mercie

Pain has a way of becoming furniture. It sits in the room so long you stop noticing it is there, and then one day you realize you have been arranging your entire life around it. Decisions get routed around it. Relationships get filtered through it. The thing that hurt you at twenty-three is still shaping … Read more

27 Bible Verses About Spiritual Restoration

August 18, 2026 by Pastor Eve Mercie

Something had broken in David, and he knew it. Psalm 51:12 does not ask God for salvation. David already had that. It asks God to restore the joy of salvation, which means the joy had gone somewhere. The salvation remained intact. The experience of it had drained out like water through a cracked vessel, and … Read more

27 Bible Verses About Renewing Your Mind

August 18, 2026 by Pastor Eve Mercie

Your mind was trained before you became a Christian. Years of input shaped how you process fear, how you respond to conflict, how you talk to yourself at three in the morning when nobody else is listening. Salvation changed your spirit. It did not automatically reprogram your thought patterns. Romans 12:2 uses the word transformed, … Read more
