Isaiah 49:16 says I have engraved you on the palms of my hands.

The palms of his hands are where you live, which means every time God acts, every time those hands move in history, your name is there.
John 10:28–29 takes the image from the Old Testament and makes it personal through Jesus: I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand.

Deuteronomy 33:27 uses an image that most people read too quickly: underneath are the everlasting arms.
